Imediately after the drilling of a borehole, it is necessary to determine the yield of the borehole and what is the right size of pump to be installed which will enable you have a continous supply of water without overburdening the borehole and its aquifers. For this to be achieved a process called Test Pumping must be done for a period of 24 hours to do the sizing of the borehole.

The data generated from this exercise will be used to generate a conclusion on what type of pump is suitable for the borehole.
